12 Great Reasons to Enroll at CCU

  1. Quality Education at an Affordable Price.  CCU is dedicated to providing you with the best education at the lowest price possible.  Our program is designed to maximize the financial aid benefits for qualified students.  With this design and our affordable price, you can be assured that you won’t be overburdened with debt after graduation.  Contact an admissions rep for more detail on how we can save you money.

  1. Evenings and Saturday classes are Optional.  CCU’s programs are flexible and can be scheduled to accommodate family and work responsibilities.

  1. The most experienced and trained staff in the Northland.  With seven or more educators at the Duluth campus and four educators at the Hibbing campus, CCU provides more experience and breadth of industry knowledge than any other school in the Northland.

  1. Busy clinic floor in the heart of beautiful downtown Duluth.  Downtown is where the action is for business professionals and tourists.  CCU has been a fixture in the downtown business community for many years.  With an established clientele, our school can provide you with more hands-on experience than any other.

  1. Internationally trained and certified Esthetician (skin & makeup) instructor.  Our students will receive the highest quality of skin and makeup training bar none.  Our Esthetics instructor brings unmatched expertise to CCU.  Every cosmetology student will have the opportunity to learn from the best.

  1. ProGrow Professional Business Training Program.  The ProGrow system is a unique, systematic approach for teaching students how to create and manage a fulfilling, profitable, and growing service business.  The ProGrow system is an essential complement to technical skills that will help CCU students become successful in their new career faster than others without this training.  CCU is proud to be the first and only school in Minnesota to offer this advanced training.

  1. CCU has been providing a quality education at an affordable price in the Northland for over 80 years.  This has allowed CCU to develop better relationships with local salon owners and managers than any other school.  These salons know a CCU graduate will be qualified.

  1. CCU is locally owned and operated.  Unlike the chain schools, your tuition dollars stay in the community.  CCU is very active in the community with many charitable events each year that directly benefit the local community.

  1. The owners of CCU are dedicated to your success.  They are on-site and available to students if needed.  You won’t find that level of comfort at a chain school.

  1. Regularly scheduled training from a variety of retailers and salon professionals.  CCU is not limited to the variety of trainers that are able work with our students.  CCU regularly invites experts from companies such as Matrix, Kenra, OPI, Logics, Nioxin, Regis, Cost Cutters, Great Clips, JCPenney’s, and locally owned salon managers, just to name a few.

  1. CCU realizes that your career training should be fun and not institutionalized.  Therefore, CCU students participate in a number of fun and exciting events throughout the year.  The Heartland Beauty Expo, Holiday Parade, Sidewalk Days, Women’s Expo, Kid’s Plus Expo, Grad & Prom Expo, Fall & Spring Fashion Shows, and the Aerial convention are just some of the fun events that CCU students attend.

  1. Newly remodeled and updated facilities with state of the art training equipment.  CCU’s theory classroom now has High Definition video projectors for PowerPoint presentations and DVD videos.  In addition, a new computer lab has been created at the Duluth campus that allows students to reinforce classroom concepts with video study guides and practice exams.  The Duluth campus has 3 floors with each level teaching something different.  The Hibbing campus has 2 floors.
